We are very pleased to offer this original low mileage 1969 MGB GT for sale. This is easily the nicest MGB GT we have ever had in our inventory. This car was sold new by British Motor Car Distributors, in San Francisco. We have the original sales invoice and the original registration paperwork for this car, in addition to a thank you brochure from John Weeks, the salesman, and the original owners manual and warranty book. The car is wearing 75% of it original paint which is truly special and rare for a 1969 MG. The paint is absolutely beautiful, and looks as if it was freshly painted. The car has never had any damage or rust issues. You can clearly see from the photos of the underside, how dry and clean this car is. I have honestly never seen an unrestored MGB anywhere near as nice as this car.
The interior is very original with the rare original rubber floor mats, an un-cracked or capped original dashboard, and original carpeting throughout. One of my favorite items is the original BMC seat belts with original mounting points and storage hooks. Even the original stereo is in working order. The car retains the original matching number engine and gearbox. The engine has been updated with a Peter Burgess fast-road cylinder head. The original matching cylinder head comes with the car. To compliment the cylinder head, the camshaft has been updated to road/rally spec, a Weber DCOE 45 carburetor and a performance Tourist Trophy exhaust. The suspension is all brand new and specially built by Frontline in the UK to improve the ride quality and handling. The front suspension has been converted to tube type shocks. The rear suspension is a 5 link setup also with tube type shocks. The sway bars have also been updated and polyurethane bushings have been installed. With this setup this car drives amazing and handles much better than a stock MGB ever did. It also stops very well with the 4-pot Frontline vented disc-brake upgrade. Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have. The car is in our showroom for viewing. I am happy to email a full photo set and paperwork to any interested buyer.
