1959 Porsche 356 A Cabriolet

You\'re looking at a Porsche 356 A Cabriolet that is a longtime California car, and had the same owner for nearly fifty years. It has been a local car here on the Central Coast for all of that time. As you\'ll see in the photos, the body is in excellent condition. From the underside photos, you\'ll see the car has no rust and appears to have all of its original floors and sills. This car is painted in its original color of meissen blue which shows very nicely. The upholstery was fully restored using high-quality materials a number of years ago and looks terrific, but does show some wear. Mechanically, the car is very strong, and runs and drives beautifully. In the late seventies, the car was fitted with a Volkswagen engine after its original engine blew up. The car does come with a later-model 356 engine as well as an early 356 A engine. Neither of these engines are the matching original engine to this Porsche. These cars have really appreciated in collectability over the last few years and good, solid, rust-free and wreck-free cars are very hard to find.
